Terms of Service
Reactored Terms of Service (version 2.25 / 20 April 2025)
1. Service Content and Usage Rights
Reactored (Rouhia Oy, Business ID: 2722150-8) is a browser-based cloud language learning system. The service is primarily intended for educational institutions, municipal organizations, associations, and companies. By using the service, the User accepts these terms and agrees to comply with applicable laws, good practice, and these terms. By registering for and/or using the Service, the User fully accepts these Terms of Service and agrees to comply with them. If the User does not accept these terms, they may not use the Service.
2. Privacy and Use of AI
The Service Provider processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national data protection laws. AI is used in the service to generate and personalize learning materials. All AI functions are implemented in compliance with the requirements of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act):
-
AI solutions are designed following a risk-based approach, and for higher-risk functions (e.g., automated assessment of learning levels), necessary transparency and explainability measures are applied.
-
All user-provided data and AI-processed data are stored only for their intended purpose.
-
Use of AI tutors is private and user-specific: we do not store or transmit conversations or AI interactions to the Service Provider’s systems. All interaction with the AI tutor takes place locally in the user’s browser, and conversation history is stored only on the user’s device during the session. Once the session ends, the data is automatically deleted and not stored or processed afterward.
For details on the processing of personal data, see the privacy policy: reactored.com/privacy-policy.
3. Registration and User Accounts
The service is allowed for all users aged 13 or older. Use by children under 13 requires consent from a parent or educational institution. Usernames must be appropriate and must not contain offensive or illegal expressions. Users are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and the security of their credentials.
4. Data Storage and Backups
The Service Provider acts as the data controller or processor. The User understands that using the service requires storing and processing data, including transferring data within servers located in the EU. The User is responsible for backing up their own materials. The Service Provider is not liable for any loss of stored data.
5. Fees and Billing
The service is paid unless otherwise agreed. Fees are charged in advance, and subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. Price changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance. Private users can cancel subscriptions anytime in settings; organizations must cancel at least 30 days before the next billing cycle.
6. User Responsibility and Prohibited Content
The User is responsible for all content they add to the service. Prohibited content includes material that:
- infringes third-party rights,
- is discriminatory, violent, or sexually explicit,
- promotes criminal activity,
- interferes with the service’s operation,
- violates Finnish or EU law.
The Service Provider may block or remove prohibited content and lock user accounts in case of violations.
7. Rights to User-Generated Content
Users retain ownership of the material they produce. The Service Provider only obtains rights necessary to operate the service according to these terms. Users are responsible for respecting copyrights and intellectual property rights.
8. Service Development and Interruptions
The Service Provider continuously develops the service. Terms of service may change unilaterally, and changes will be communicated to users. The service may experience temporary interruptions due to technical maintenance or other reasons. The Service Provider is not liable for damages resulting from such interruptions.
9. Data Security
The service uses up-to-date security measures (e.g., TLS-encrypted connections) to protect personal data. LTI integrations utilize OAuth2 and JWT standards. Users must keep their credentials confidential and report any security breaches immediately.
10. Transfer of Rights
The Service Provider has the right to transfer its rights and obligations under these terms to a group company, successor, or business purchaser. The User may not transfer these rights without the Service Provider’s consent.
11. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes will primarily be resolved through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, disputes will be settled in the District Court of Kanta-Häme, Finland.
